EBCU reception 2016 was held in Elzenhof, in the hart of Brussels. The opening speaker was EBCU Chairman Henri Reuchlin welcoming the many guests and EBCU Delegates from all over Europe. The delegates have arranged a lot of different beers from different member countries, and with a tasting of chocolate, and beer-tapas from Restobieres the evening came off to a good start.
Hops are grown in the Midlands and South East of England. They are harvested during September and early October. The cones are separated from the bine and then dried immediately on a kiln, and pressed into bales to be stored until used – maybe for more than a year....
