Working groups

EBCU has a number of different Working Groups, each focused on a particular area of internal and external activity. Every group includes at least one representative from the EBCU Executive Committee, along with delegates from our member organisations and other volunteers. Together, they collaborate to drive forward EBCU’s mission of championing beer consumers and promoting beer culture across Europe.


External-Facing Working Groups

These groups concentrate on outreach, policy, and communication with the broader public and relevant external stakeholders.

Beer Styles Review Group and Beer Competitions

Periodically review and update the Beer Styles website and discuss endorsements and trends in beer competitions.

Communications / Media

Develop and execute a communications and media plan for EBCU; gather and manage content for social media channels throughout the year.

Consumer Policy Committee

Monitor political and other developments affecting beer consumers, ensuring EBCU’s voice is heard by relevant decision makers.

EBCU Newsletter

Define a concept for an external newsletter; select an email platform, and launch a periodic newsletter.

Future of the Brussels Reception

Modernize EBCU’s annual Brussels reception/event.

Seminars

Organise EBCU’s online seminar events for members and the broader beer community including EBCU’s Youtube channel.

Sponsorship

Explore sponsorship and other income-generation opportunities in support of EBCU’s activities and events

Homebrewing

Collaboration among homebrewing organisations to share best practices.


Internal-Focused Working Groups

These groups work on cooperation, resources, and strategy within EBCU and its member organisations.

Content Sharing

Facilitate the sharing of magazine articles, features, and other content among EBCU’s member organisations.

Shared Member Benefits

Identify ways to share festival privileges, distribute PDF magazines, and explore other shared benefits among EBCU members.

Strategy

Refine EBCU’s long-term direction, culminating in clear recommendations and a final strategic document.
