Presentation for members of the Europarliament at The Brewers of Europe on 15 September 2010 in Brussels
The European Beer consumers Union held its latest reception for members of the European Parliament on 15th September at the Brewers of Europe House in Brussels.
The Guest speaker was Pierre-Olivier Bergeron the General Secretary of the Brewers of Europe who emphasised the need for beer consumers and beer producers to work together in these times of increasingly vocal attacks on beer and the brewing industry.
Terry Lock EBCU chair responded by saying that it was increasingly important for the beer consumers voice to be heard and there was the need to continue to campaign for beer choice and quality throughout Europe. A variety of beers from the UK, Belgium, The Netherlands and Denmark were available for MEPs, members of the Commission to try and these were matched by some excellent mouth-watering food from Brussels beer restaurant Restobières.
